Singer-songwriter NP York creates indie rock and folk songs filled with raw emotion, shimmering guitars, and soaring melodies. Together with his band, The Fools, he draws inspiration from the sharp storytelling of Pulp and the atmospheric soundscapes of Daniel Lanois.
In 2024, NP York debuted with the album Music for Fools alongside the band The Fools. The songs were written in the wake of a depression, the band formed by reaching out to musician friends, and the indie-folk sound emerged through a shared musical community. It was very well received both on radio and live stages.
Now NP York returns with his second album, What’s Next, set for release this fall. Compared to his previous indie-folk album, NP York dives deeper into a more raw, organic, and rock-driven sound. So far, two singles from the album, “Walk On By” and “Sugar”, have been released and received airplay on DR P5 and P6 Beat.
This fall, NP York begins his “What’s Next” tour in Denmark, where he will, among other venues, play at Lille Vega in Copenhagen, Radar in Aarhus, and Dexter in Odense.
