Grand Fiction sounds like no other band! The Danish band brings the sound of the American desert and the setting sun to the listener – a sound that can best be described as: “Music á la a Quentin Tarantino/Roberto Rodriguez/Ennio Morricone movie soundtracks”. The first album “A Good Day To Drive” was released in 2003, and in 2006 the follow-up album “Hitch A Ride” hit the Music stores. The new album is called “New Land”, and is now available on Iceberg Records. In 2006 Samsung chose the single “Hitch A Ride” and the “Everything We Do”-video to be pre-loaded on all cell phones in Europe, Asia and The Middle East, and in 2007 the band was taking on America with a major tour, playing gigs at Canadian Music Week, South by South West, Music West (Vancouver) + L.A. Showcases (incl. The Viper Room). The albums and live shows were critically acclaimed in the US, and received a huge amount of airplay on US Mainstream and Americana radio stations.
“It's a brilliant effort, one that deserves to break through into the American radio market in a big way. To overlook “Hitch A Ride” would be a massive mistake. Here's hoping this won't be the best album of 2006 no one hears.” - JONATHAN SANDERS, US MUSIC CRITIC
